The educational coordinator Mrs. May Mansour presented a workshop for cycles 1 and 2 teachers. The main aim of the workshop was to shed light on the different learners in the classroom and how to reach those learners.
The workshop started by exploring some theories related to having different learners. Gardeners Jungs, Myers- Briggs and Kolbs theories were discussed. Light was shed on the characteristics of each learner according to each of the four theorists or psychologists. After that, the teachers did a personality test to realize what type of personality each has.
To ensure enhanced neurogenesis through growth of dendrites, learners should be motivated. A learner is only motivated when class activities are appealing to him or her. Since each learner is motivated differently, the workshop ended with a group work activity where each group mentioned a skill to be mastered by students and suggested three different activities related to the skill- tailoring the activities to reach as many learners as possible.
