The Cultural Street Association
10 public and private schools participated in a program that aims at documenting the history of Saida. Funded by the American Ambassay, the Cultural Street Association empowered a number of students by equipping them with the skills needed to document the history of Saida and carry out plans to ensure its prosperity and give back Shakrieh Street the glamor it once had. Our students Ahmad Al Khodari, Khaled Nomairi, Mohamad Hashisho and Salah Agha joined this six-month project. Representatives from the American Embassy, Prime Minister Foad Saniora, Dr. Naser Hammoud representing Mrs. Bahaia Hariri, the mayor Mr. Mohamad Saodi, Mr. Kamel Kozbar, religious, economic and social figures attended the ceremony that celebrated the end of the project. The students received completion of the project certificates. Mohamad Hashisho and Salah Agha received extra certificates for their distinguished performance.
